Two and a Half!

Sweet Barrett,

We can't believe that you are two and a half today! You are supposed to be our little baby, but you are becoming such a big boy! Your favorite thing to tell people lately is, "I not a baby anymore. I a big boy!" You want to be just like your big brother - "Huddy" - in every way. You can't wait until you can take karate or ride a bicycle like him.

You love watching "Hot Dog" a.k.a. Mickey Mouse, reading books, and playing rough with your big brother. You have quite an imagination and can entertain yourself for hours. You also LOVE eating and wake up every morning ready to "Eat Eat". If you had your choice every day you would choose a pop tart (so Mommy doesn't buy those much:)

We are so proud that YOU have decided you want to use the potty like a big boy. You have gone every day for almost 2 weeks now with very few wet accidents and no dirty diaper accidents! You are very independent and I knew you would potty train yourself when you were ready:) In fact you want to do everything yourself lately. And when we try to come in the bathroom with you you ask us to "Go out, please!"

You are still sleeping in your crib because your Mommy isn't ready for you to be in a big boy bed. You are very mischevious, so we will keep you in the crib as long as you will fit in there:) You LOVE to sleep!

You definitely have your "terrible twos" moments, but for the most part you are a very good boy and are so sweet and loving. You still love being held, and that is just fine with us! We are so blessed to be your parents, and we can't wait to see what this new year brings. We know you are going to grow and learn so much. It is hard to believe that in July you will be 3!
