A Sweet Weekend

Here is a pic of 2 of my favorite Valentines sporting their new rain boots and playing their new recorders.

And from the looks of this delicious Valentine gingerbread house I think they had fun at their EG and G's on Friday night.

Thanks also to Honey and Zizzie for entertaining the boys on Saturday night with a Valentine's party and to Uncle Chris and Aunt MoMo for being special guests.

And why were the boys having to be entertained all weekend? We spent the weekend in the Higlands with this crazy group!

What a much needed vacation for all of us parents. We enjoyed no schedules, staying up late, sleeping a little late, husbands who cooked us breakfast and cleaned (well, mostly "Buddy"), shopping, fishing, eating, lots of talking, and mostly...the fireplace. I would say we spent the majority of our vacation snuggled up in front of it. There's nothing quite like a real wood burning fireplace!

Valentine's 2009 will definitely be one to remember!
